Agreeing to these terms

These terms apply when you use FurnaceQuotes.ca, including its guides, tools and quote request form. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal information and forms part of these terms.

What FurnaceQuotes.ca is

FurnaceQuotes.ca has two parts:

• Information: guides, typical price ranges and free tools about furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, boilers, ductless systems and water heaters in Ontario.
• A quote request service: when you send the quote request form, we pass your request to one participating local HVAC company, and our booking team contacts you to arrange a free in-home estimate.

Using the site and sending a request are free, and a request does not commit you to buy anything.

Prices are estimates, not offers

Unless a page says otherwise, every price here is a typical Ontario installed range in Canadian dollars, before 13% HST. They assume a standard replacement in a detached home with usable ductwork and venting, and they were last reviewed in October 2026. Our methodology explains how we set them.

They are not quotes, offers or price promises from us or from any company. Your price depends on your home, the equipment, access, venting, ductwork, brand and season. Only a written quote from a company that has assessed your home is a real price.

Tools are for information only

The quote checker, comparison worksheet, price estimator and any other tools give estimates for information only. Results depend on what you enter and on general assumptions. They are not professional advice, an inspection, a load calculation or a quote. A sizing rule of thumb is no substitute for a CSA F280 room-by-room heat loss calculation, so check important decisions with a qualified professional.

Our role, and what we do not do

FurnaceQuotes.ca is not an equipment seller or installer, and it does no repairs or servicing. We do not certify, license, inspect, endorse or guarantee any company, including participating companies, and we do not supervise their work. Before you hire anyone, check what matters to you: for gas work in Ontario, ask for the company's TSSA registration number, and ask about insurance, permits and warranty terms.

Your contract is with the company you choose

Any estimate, quote, contract, financing plan, rental or warranty is between you and the company that offers it. That company is responsible for its prices, work, products and promises. We are not a party to that agreement and are not responsible for it. Read any contract before you sign, and know your cancellation rights: Ontario's Consumer Protection Act gives a cooling-off period for some contracts, such as one signed with a door-to-door salesperson.

Rebate information changes

Rebate and incentive programs change, sometimes with little notice. Anything we say about rebates is general information. Confirm eligibility, amounts and steps on the official program pages before you buy. For example, Ontario's Home Renovation Savings heat pump rebates require approval before installation, under the program terms. We never promise that you will receive a rebate, or any amount.

Accuracy and limits of liability

We work to keep the site accurate and current, but we do not guarantee that every price, figure or detail is complete, up to date or free of errors, and the site is provided as is. To the extent Ontario law allows, FurnaceQuotes.ca is not liable for any loss or damage that comes from using the site, relying on its information or tools, or dealing with a company you contact through it, including indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits consumer rights that cannot be waived by law.

Using the site fairly

Please do not:

• Send false, fake or test quote requests, or use someone else's name, phone number or email without their permission.
• Submit the form with bots, scripts or other automated tools, or try to get around its spam protection.
• Copy, scrape or republish large parts of the site, its price data or its tools without written permission.
• Interfere with the site's security or operation.

We may block or ignore requests that break these rules.

Links and content

We link to other websites, such as official rebate, safety and government pages, because they are the primary sources. Those sites are run by others, and what they publish or collect is their responsibility, not ours.

The text, price tables, tools, diagrams and design of this site belong to FurnaceQuotes.ca. Photos come from Unsplash and Pexels under their licences, with credits on our about page, and from our publisher's own image library. You are welcome to link to any page and to quote short passages with a link back.

Ontario law

Ontario law, and the federal law of Canada that applies in Ontario, governs these terms. Any dispute about the site will be dealt with by the courts of Ontario.

When these terms are updated
